Yes, we decided to come to Valencia! The aires with electricity between Tarragona and Valencia are few and far between, and things were going to get tricky without the electric to charge all our gadgets. By coming to Valencia now, we can book the van in to get the USB… Read more »
This morning we made the short drive to Tarragona. It’s quite a large coastal town, and on the drive in there were signs for the Centro Histórico. As these typically have very narrow streets, we headed away in a different direction and parked up on the sea front. After a… Read more »
We’d been told that the Sitges children’s carnival would take place in the afternoon, so we pottered around in the morning and had lunch in the van before walking into town. It was a beautiful sunny day, but at this time of year it gets rather chilly in the evening,… Read more »
We haven’t had much luck with neighbours the past couple of nights. At the aire in Cervena, a van parked up next to us at about 11pm, just as we were going to bed, and the bloke decided it would be perfectly fine to get out of his van and… Read more »

The drive to Alquézar took about three hours. In the UK I’d have stopped half way for a coffee and a rest after a couple of hours, but here is Spain the driving is so much easier. We haven’t seen a traffic jam yet, let alone sit in one, the… Read more »
Our original plan for today was to go to a historic old town called Daroca, about 40km from Calatayud, and then meander back to Calatayud (yes, we’re working in km now, even our satnav has been converted!). There’s a place called Belchite, near Zaragoza, which I’ve had on my list… Read more »
It was grey and overcast first thing this morning, and rather cold with a slight frost. We’d decided that today we would follow the route of El Cid in the direction of Zaragoza, which was recommended to us by the lady in the tourist office yesterday. It was a good… Read more »
Having decided to stay put today, we’ve taken it easy and just chilled out. I haven’t been able to resolve the USB charging problem, and drew a blank with the guys on a Facebook group for technical moho issues. The van’s already booked in for a service when we get… Read more »
